Self-Description: I am usually quietly considerate and thoughtful unless I am with
close friends that I know well enough to tease. (Razor wit is a
two-edged sword) Since discovering new perspectives and learning new
things have become a passion for me, I usually listen more than I
talk. Introspective and philosophical about life, love, and family, I
try to keep the main thing the main thing. While my work is very
important to me, my job is not my life. My Celtic heritage makes me
absolutely captivated by time, seasons, cycles, beginnings, endings, birth, & death. I am not
religious, but am very spiritual. I strive every day to be true to
myself and was recently rewarded with a marriage to my soul mate.
I stay in shape for the outdoor activities I love, spending time in
remote places during the spring and fall to watch Mother Earth's birth
and death cycles. Old things and wild places are magnets for me. I am
the ultimate morning person and autumn child.
I love to laugh, am slow to anger, but am slow to cool down once I get
there (I'm working on that). I am a straight shooter, literally and
figuratively. I realize how much honor and truth mean in this world
and how little there is of it. It is a precious commodity, second in
value only to love.
Children: 5 counting the ones I married into. All great kids. I was
lucky.
Interests: Day hiking, backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, hunting, &
fishing in wild places.
