Self-Description: Well, I like to think I am generally a happy bloke. I think I am
shy but all my mates think I am the reason the group gets to meet new
people. Maybe it is because I hate being shy and force myself to talk
to people. I suggest this to my friends and they think I am barking
mad.
I do get on with people - so long as there is a little respect and
appreciation for others. Not too keen on violence (except I used to
play and still enjoying watching rugby - where does that figure?). I am
a master of understatement and sarcasm, enjoy banter and poking fun -
and get a fair bit in return from those who understand the game.
Interests: Interests? Well I guess I have mentioned rugby. But I also
find time for music - a wide range from Motorhead to Mozart. recent
favourites include 'The Band of Bees' and 'Muse'.
I enjoy a good book but alas I also seem to go through quite a few bad
ones too. And the same seems to hold true for films, another great
interest.
I also like travelling and visiting new places and trying to find the
perfect waterfall. Sad but true.
I suppose the greatest interest I have must be Japan - I have a great
fondness for the country (okay, so I have a few Japanese friends and my
best mate lives out there). The scenery is amazing, the people
wonderfully strange and the culture is quite alien to the West.
More: I mentioned waterfalls - anyone know of any good ones (big or
small - sometimes it is the surroundings that make them) let me know.
Other than that, if you want to get in touch for a chat - do so! It
would be interesting to find out other peoples experiences in life.
