Self-Description: I'm stubborn, impatient, and motivated. For a hedonistic lazy person,
that is. Type B person with type A recreation habits. Just ask the husband.
When I was really young I didn't really know what color my hair was- it wasn't
quite red, it wasn't quite blond, it wasn't quite brown (although my hair color
was blondish in my first few years). I hated it. When I discovered what auburn
was, I hit my groove. It may sound shallow, but I've been called blond,
brunette, strawberry blonde, red, dirty blonde (yuk). I didn't trust my own
judgement in the mirror, having my hair color shift with light and hi-lighting
it blonde in high school, what a mess. Now that I appreciate what it is, dang,
I'm getting grey streaks! *ACK* Such is life.
Children: Not yet.
Interests: I'm a very outdoorsy person. I love the ocean and puttering around in
it, whether on the surface,on the outskirts or plunging deep within it.
Sea-kayaking, walking the beach and hunting for sea glass (to be used in my
art), snorkeling and scuba diving. I'm lucky to be married to a man who feels
the same way and in a career that enables me to study it. I love the quick color
change of the ocean, to grey, to aqua to deep royal blue, depending on weather,
and the passion of it, the waves that pound into shore with such violence. Also
the wimpy little swells which mean a great day for diving and kayaking and not
getting myself killed.
I love backpacking, camping, hiking, and bicycling, here or in the mountains. I
love red rocks, canyon rivers (sans flash floods) and green foliage. I had a
great time with that in southern Utah with my husband, red rock was ubiquitous!
I enjoy doing art (jewelry, mosaics, photoshop) although the pieces would turn
out better if I was just more patient and not in a self-induced rush to finish
it.
Plus just doing nothing and cuddling with husband and "dos gatos". Or reading a
great book while listening to interesting music.
