Self-Description: I can't remember what Meyers-Briggs four letter classification I
am. It had to do with being an introvert, a guardian and being
detail-oriented. These are good traits for my job. My temper is redhot,
but I've learned that regular feedings and plenty of sleep can keep it
within acceptable norms. My family and home keep me grounded, when
sometimes I'd rather be riding dragonback or dancing in space a la Spider
Robinson.
My mom was totally surprised to see my full head of orange hair when I was
born, although my paternal grandfather was red, my dad's sister was red,
her son was red... I got a lot of attention when really young, and when I
hit adulthood, but in between was not fun. I drowned a lot of my feelings
in books, drama and music. Being a redhead is just a part of me now, not
my definition.
Children: Cordelia, Steps, and Grandstep
Interests: 1. Bellydancing takes the cake. I get to dress like a
princess, dance, sew costumes, listen to great international music and
have BellyGoddaughters!
2. Reading - must read Robert Jordan, Anne McCaffrey, Robin Hobb, Lois
McMaster-Bujold, Spider Robinson, Dave Duncan, etc.
3. Quilting - okay, I'm still working on the Double Wedding Ring,
commemorating my love, for my bed, but I have made a few quilts in my
time, mostly by hand.
4. Crochet - I learned only a few years ago and find it an excellent
multi-task while watching TV, almost makes up for the wasting of
braincells.
5. Contra Dance - If only my husband enjoyed it also...It's the folky
precursor to square dancing.
More: I've lived in Salt Lake City only since I married my rockin' ,
artistic composer man. (We met online) I had been located in New England
for ten years after growing up in OKC and being born in CA. My family is
scattered everywhere. My little brother lives in CA and is the most
laid-back redhead you'll ever meet.
