Self-Description: I'm a fairly quiet, withdrawn writer who is happiest as an
observer. I try not to have delusions of grandeur; presumption repels
me. My willingness to speak what I believe to be the truth, along with
my dry, sarcastic sense of humor, has landed me in trouble at times, but
I think before I speak and am always prepared to handle the
consequences. I travel extensively and have great pride in my European
origin. I love animals, espcially reptiles, and own many. Being a
redhead has little spiritual connotation for me, but it is highly enjoyable. I hope some
day to teach at the University level and to write books that don't end
up in the "Under $5 Bargain Bin" next to the 1994 Road Atlases and
Menudo biographies.
Interests: My main interest is, and has always been, reading. I have
thousands of nonfiction books and I read each one until I have it more
or less memorized. My great passion is history, especially the Tudor
period, although I refuse to claim descent from the Tudor line as many
others do. I strive for historical accuracy always and inconsistencies
drive me mad. I sculpt and do charcoal portraiture; I also have a degree
in Music. However, I am very shy about my artistic endeavors and have
not performed or exhibited publicly in years. I have a weakness for
cranberries, crepes au chocolat and Malcolm McDowell movies (even Tank
Girl).
More: I'm more "reserved" than "unfriendly". Really.
