Self-Description: I am a friendly, open minded woman. I've
been playing with the internet since 1993, so I
guess some people would consider me a type of
computer nerd, I don't see myself that way. I am a
loving person, I like to help people when I can. I
do tend to hold grudges, but only when I feel the
need for it, I tend to let bygones be bygones as
much as possible. Not enough time in this lifetime
for grudges and hate. I am an honest and
straightforward person, something I've learned
since I married my dutch husband. I'll tell you
how I feel, so you know where I stand, and you can
hate me if you want. I give respect where it is
earned and I try to earn the respect of the people
around me. I try not to start fights, I grew up in
a family that seems to still thrive on fighting, I
prefer a nice calm chat to screaming and throwing
things. I do have a temper that can bite like a
rabid dog, but I've learned to control it most of
the time.
Children: Judy - Daughter - Born October
24, 1998.
Interests: I love children and making crafts,
cross-stitching, just learned to knit, making
home-made holiday decorations, and home-made pies
and cookies. I like to read books, Science
Fiction, Fantasy, Mystery, Horror (Star Wars
Series, Anne McCaffrey, Steven King, VC Andrews,
Robert Jordan, Dragon Lance). I collect dragons,
mostly western style (4 legs, 2 wings, 1 head, 1
tail type). I like to play computer games both
offline and online, preferably ones like Dungeon
Keeper, Diablo, Might and Magic (I don't much care
for Doom and flight sims or the likes, they make
me feel queezy). The online games I play consist
of MUD's (Renegade and KoBra) and a few web-based
games, one is Archmage. I like to draw, not that
I'm all that good at, I've found its easier to
dabble in the computer graphic world than to draw
by hand (www.geocities.com/jacinthe_sj/ is
somethings called signature files I have made in
the last year for a Delphi Forum for a webgame I
play.) I like playing with the graphics and making
my homepages, I've been trying to finish off my
new one for about a year now, but haven't quite
got it right.
More Info: I'm an american, born and raised in a
military family. I went to schools all over the US
and even in Protugal. I went off to college at
Slippery Rock University, in Slippery Rock,
Pennsylvania. While there, I got online with
email, shortly there after I got further into the
internet and started playing MUD's, once online
and into an interactive environment with people
from all over the world, I became addicted. I met
several people whom I consider dear and wonderful
friends, and I also met my dutch husband there.
He lived in Tilburg, The Netherlands and I lived
in Slippery Rock and Pittsburgh. We met in real
life and found that the love we thought we had via
the internet, had spilled over into real life. He
came and met my folks, and he proposed to me after
we had known each other for about a year online
and a total of 4 weeks in real life. I made a trip
to The Netherlands in December of 1995, and things
just got better and better. We made plans to get
married on June 20, 1996 and we did with family and friends from online and
off. We found out on February 20, 1998 that I was
pregnant, and we welcomed our daughter Judy into
the world on October 24, 1998 at 2:22am, with my
mother present at a home delivery (that is
something they do here in The Netherlands
regularly, and I preferred it to staying in the
hospital)
